Part 1 in this series where we discuss how important it is to give yourself the kind of home you deserve.
As you look around the neighborhood, take a look at how well or
poorly the neighbors take care of their property. Look at how clean the
streets are and how inviting they look. Ask yourself is this an area
that you would feel comfortable calling home several years from now.
Even though most people look with the first block or two to get a good
idea of how the neighborhood is, you should look two blocks further in
all directions. Think about your family. If you have kids, ask yourself
if you would feel completely comfortable with them walking up and down
the streets by themselves. Look at the stores, laundry mats, and other
buildings and businesses in the area. Do they look like they are well
taken care of, or are there any abandoned and poorly cared for
structures in the area? Since you are shopping for luxury homes, finding
the right neighborhood is essential.
There is nothing wrong with
wanting to live in an area where people who have similar goals, tastes,
and values surround you. This can be a constant source of motivation for
you and also help you come in contact with people who are in the same
social stratosphere. Regardless of when you decide to shop for luxury
homes, consider working with an agent so that you won't have to spend so
much time trying to find a needle in a haystack. In addition to saving
time, you may be able to save a bit more money as well.
Question to the Reader: Would you consider a luxury property for your next home?
